Unlock Bath: Built From Beneath

Unlock the city of Bath and solve the great mystery of Bath Stone! Step into the shoes of a future researcher working for the Unlock Collective and take on the task of travelling back in time to investigate a colour-changing phenomenon.

Bath has a very rich yet socially divisive history going all the way back to prehistoric times. Throughout the centuries the city was promoted and invested in by the wealthy, yet developed and shaped by the workers. Our new Digital Escape Room aims to shed light on the stories of both sides, exploring the brighter and the darker times of Bath's history and how the efforts of both the wealthy and the working class shaped Bath into what it is today.

Unlock Bath Project

Unlock Bath: Built from Beneath is a digital escape room that brings together stories and perspectives on the history of Bath. It lets the players discover aspects of the technological and societal development of the city through puzzles. It was co-designed with 5 partner museums: BRSLI, Radstock Museum, the Museum of Bath at Work, the Museum of Bath Stone and the Bath Medical Museum.
